SWEDISH RARITY REPORT. 1 - 30 April 2004
Below is a compilation of rare birds in Sweden in April.
The Holarctic list vers. 2 on the EBN-Sweden website is just updated with 4 new species
now accepted on the Swedish list (3 species recorded 2003 and 1 species recorded
2002). Total number on Swedish list now: 483). The new species for Sweden in April
(see below) has yet to be accepted by the Swedish rarities committee, will then be no.

The second for Sweden. The first was one in Uppland 2002.
1 bird Lönestig (Halland) 25-30.4 seem to be a hybrid Iberian C. x Chiffchaff.
Yellow-browed Warbler, Phylloscopus inornatus (taigasångare)
1 Sandskär (Uppland) 24.4.
Firecrest, Regulus ignicapillus (brandkronad kungsfågel)
Short-toed Treecreeper, Certhia brachydactyla (trädgårdsträdkrypare)
1 stationary at Lerhamn (Scania) 3.4 - 30.4 (still there in May).
Soon time for this species to start breeding in Sweden ?
