The heavy crossbill migration has declined in southern Sweden, although there are some still around (a small flock of Two-barred Crossbill, Loxia leucoptera, in Östergoetland today).

Pallid Harriers, Circus macrourus, have been seen in numbers, in many of the Swedish provinces, and 1 young left Sweden at Falsterbo (the SW corner of Sweden) yesterday for example.

The Booted warbler, Hippolais calagata, ringed and seen in the field at Ottenby, Öland August 19, has been shown by DNA-tests to probably be of the race rama (split and in Clements world list listed as the species Syke's Warbler, Hippolais rama). (Under consideration by the Swedish Rarities Committee).
