Another Booted Warbler, Hippolais caligata, the second this
summer/autumn for Oeland, Sweden was found 2 days ago at Gårdby,
Öland, and is still there today, Sept 21.
Most field characters according to the discoverer Mats Waern are
pointing towards the race (species) caligata (Booted Warbler,
Hippolais caligata)
The last one, at Ottenby, Öland in August was probably a ssp. rama,
proposed as species Hippolais rama, Syke's Warbler. There are at
least 3 more rama records this summer/autumn in Western Europe =
influx.
